ForgeWeb Studio started with a pattern that kept repeating: a good local business — solid work, loyal customers, decent word of mouth — sitting behind a website that undersold all of it. Slow, generic, half-finished, or quietly abandoned by whoever built it two years ago.

The alternatives on offer weren't much better. Agencies quoted five figures and a three-month timeline. Template builders promised a site in an afternoon and delivered something indistinguishable from everyone else's afternoon. Nobody was building the middle: a properly designed, properly coded site at a price a small business can actually justify.

So that's what this is. One person, working through a short list of projects at a time, designing and hand-coding each one. No account layers, no subcontracting, no template with your logo dropped into the header.

The name is deliberate. Forging is slow, physical work — you heat the material, you shape it deliberately, and what comes off the anvil is one thing made for one purpose. That's closer to how a website should be made than dragging blocks around a canvas.
